Physically, Darla is one of the most unique cats we have had in our rescue organization. Not only an exceptionally rare Black Tabby, she is also what is termed a "smoke" -- meaning black on the outside but having an undercoat of pure white fur. On the inside, Darla is equally rare. She and her sister Charlotte came to us some 18 months ago totally feral. However, a year of living with their foster dad has transformed both into exceptionally affectionate, people-loving companions. Both sisters are about 2 years old.
