Abandoned by her people, Nakindi came to a foster home with her seven kittens when they were 4 days old. She raised them all with loving care and supervised their adoption into wonderful homes. That responsibility discharged, this little cat now seeks a permanent home where she can love and be loved for the affectionate companion she is. Less than 2 years old, Nakindi is a delicate creature with a long and graceful body and exceptionally sleek fur. Her markings are those of the wild civet cat which accounts for her African name. Nakindi likes to be with other cats but is always the first to the door to greet her foster dad with lots of purrs and affectionate rubs. While not a lap cat, she loves to lie close with her body pressed up to yours. Perhaps her most endearing characteristic is the frequent "chirping" by which she called her kittens and now speaks to us.
