We adopted 3 kittens, Puddin, Pye, and Hettie, from Little Buddies before Christmas. Spoiler alert: we thought we wanted 2, turns out we really wanted 3. The adoption process was amazing. I told Chloe we were looking for 2 outgoing and adventurous kittens that would do well in a house with a big dog and 2 rambunctious kids. I was afraid that with the size of our dog and the chaos that kids bring, that shy kittens would be overwhelmed. Chloe sent me a few suggestions of kittens that she thought would work then put us in touch with the foster. After texting with the foster, we were able to meet them to see if we thought they would be a good fit. All of the kittens the foster had were so adorable and our kids picked out the 2 they wanted. Once they reached the required weight, the foster let me know that we could pick them up. The whole drive to get them I kept thinking about one of the girl kittens in their litter. When we got there and I saw her again I just knew she needed to come home with us too. The foster did an amazing job socializing them! They are the most outgoing and friendly kittens I've ever been around! We started slowly and even though the kittens had never been around dogs before, they were so well socialized that they started greeting our dog whenever he was allowed in their space. They soon had the run of the house. Now, they curl up with our dog, they run to greet visitors that walk in the door, they love to be held, they purr at any amount of attention, they play with everyone (even the dog), and they curl up with our kids when they go to sleep. And my girl kitty sleeps next to me every night. They are now President Puff, Commander Pyke, and QT (my girl).
